Chambray Archer (with bonus Liberty!)

so I FINALLY got on the Archer train. It took me a while, but I got there. Now that I’ve made one, I have no idea why I waited so long!

Top: me made, Grainline’s Archer Button Down; Skirt: American Apparel; Sweater: Thrifted; Shoes and Rings:

This pattern is fantastic, and it was a joy to make.

I made it up in a classic light blue chambray, and I used some scraps of liberty that I had leftover from my Banksia top to do the insides of the cuffs, yoke, and collar stand. I think it’s a nice detail.

For the most part I think the fit is great, the only change I will make with my next one is to take in the sleeves a bit- they feel too wide on me.

All in all, a great make that I have been wearing constantly. I definitely plan on making more after the holiday rush.  And stay tuned if you liked last year’s Aspen Dress– I’m Aspen bound again this year and I’ve got something else on the go that I hope you all will like just as much!  I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say that I took my inspiration from an iconic big screen dress… I’ll let  you muse on which one that could be!
