Virginia Leggings

Man were these quick! I think it took me about an hour and a half to crank them out. I bought this awesome orange fair isle print jersey at Sewfisticated a couple weeks ago with the intent of making thermals out of it, and Megan Nielsen’s Virginia Leggings pattern was released with perfect timing.

Here’s a close up of the fabric:

The leggings were super easy to make, further cementing my love affair with knits.  I don’t know why people are afraid of sewing with them- I haven’t had a bad experience yet.

I originally wanted to make a pair for my boyfriend as well, but the Virginia pattern doesn’t go up to man-sized, so I’ll have to find another pattern for those.

I’ve been sewing a ton of quick and easy projects lately.  My Betty High Waist Panty pattern from OhhhLulu has been getting a lot of play.  It’s so easy to make- I can do a pair in less than an hour.  Haven’t quite decided if I’ll be blogging those yet, though……

Anyway, it’s getting on time for me to put the tiny things away and make something a bit more substantial.  I just bought Gertie’s New Book for Better Sewing, and I’ve got my heart set on a wool Wiggle Dress. Now I just have to get myself to trace those damn pattern pieces!
